This time, we will study the passive voice in Vietnamese.<\/p>\n

Unlike in English, Vietnamese verbs do not change<\/strong> in the passive voice. Instead, words indicating passivity (three types) are added based on the meaning of the verb. Depending on the word used (hereafter referred to as \u201cpassive indicators\u201d), the sentence can take on a positive, negative, or neutral meaning.<\/p>\n

When constructing a sentence, it is necessary to determine whether the content is positive, negative, or neutral.<\/p>\n

Passive Indicators<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c<\/td>\nBeneficial passive (Positive)<\/td>\n\u201c\u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c\u201d originally means \u201cto obtain.\u201d When included in a sentence, it expresses a beneficial passive meaning.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
b\u1ecb<\/td>\nAdverse passive (Negative)<\/td>\n\u201cb\u1ecb\u201d carries the meaning of \u201csuffering (damage).\u201d When used in a passive expression, it implies an adverse meaning.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
do<\/td>\nNeutral expression<\/td>\nIn addition to the above two, \u201cdo\u201d is used for neutral expressions.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
