However, the difference is that in Vietnamese, there is no distinction in the structure when expressing a desire to do something or to have something. In Vietnamese, both meanings can be conveyed using auxiliary verbs, as shown below.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #ff0000;\">The &#8220;T\u00f4i mu\u1ed1n~&#8221; Structure<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>1. &#8220;I want to do ~&#8221; Structure (Equivalent to &#8220;want to&#8221; in English)<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"grammar_exp\"><strong>Subjects<\/strong> (Nouns or Personal pronouns)\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> +\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">mu\u1ed1n<\/span> \u00a0+<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Predicates<\/span><\/strong> (Verbs or Nouns)\u00a0 <strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">+\u00a0<\/span> Complement or Objects<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"border: solid 4px #f5f5f5; color: #ff0000;\">&#8220;T\u00f4i mong~&#8221; and &#8220;T\u00f4i hi v\u1ecdng~&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The auxiliary verb <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>&#8220;mu\u1ed1n&#8221;<\/strong><\/span> can be replaced with <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>&#8220;mong&#8221; <\/strong><\/span>(meaning wish, desire \u2013 equivalent to &#8220;wish&#8221; in English) or <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>&#8220;k\u1ef3 v\u1ecdng&#8221;<\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>&#8220;hi v\u1ecdng&#8221;<\/strong><\/span> (meaning expect, hope in English).<\/p>\n<div style=\"border: solid 4px #f5f5f5;
